Turing Robotic Industries (TRI) has unveiled its flagship device which assures an innovative super security to the smartphone along with an unique outer body which is stronger than steel as it is made up of combination of metals. The smartphone is expected to launch somewhere in summer this year. Based in San Francisco, TRI is inspired by vision of two geniuses namely Charles Babbage and Alan Turing, the fathers of modern computer science and artificial intelligence respectively. “Liquid Morphium” : Let us understand this new term! Most of the smartphones are nowadays opting for metallic look however the outer body of this “Turing Phone” is made up of a combination of zirconium, copper, aluminum, nickel and silver. Further, the appearance of this alloy resembles glass rather than titanium or steel. Moreover, the resultant alloy is much more stronger than steel and hence it gives a super protection to the phone in case it meets with any accidents in the day to day life. As per S.Y.L. Chao, the CEO of Turing Robotic Industries, the actual production of this Turing Phone facilitates a much greener option as compared to the manufacture of traditional smartphones because it involves less waste. He further added that the resultant “metal chassis” not only gives a darker metallic look but it is also much stronger than aluminium and steel. Turing phone majorly emphasizes on security: The smartphone has been packed with a Turing Imitation Key security chip which will authenticate the encryption locally. In other words the smartphone will be using a decentralized authentication method to encrypt all the communications and it will not allow the third party server to issue the security certificates. This kind of encryption ensures that the user will always be offline and out of hacker’s reach. Hence, with the Turing phone users can safely exchange sensitive data in a trusted network ensuring super security. Now, this phone would work just like any other Android 5.0 Lollipop device with the only difference that the security is managed locally. In regards to the encryption a spokesperson from Turing Robotic Industries says: “A protected communications network that is entirely insulated from cyber-threats and privacy intrusions. Within this circle of trust, users can exchange sensitive data such as social security numbers or bank wiring instructions and know that the information will reach only the device intended.” The encrypted data can be exchanged only between the Turing phone users as the pre installed master key allows direct verification of their identities without having to be routed through a Key Distribution Center (which is a part of Cryptosystem). This seems to be the drawback as of now. Further, the phone also has a fingerprint reader which helps users to unlock the device. Features:

Though the display resolution and camera do not match with those in Samsung Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6 however as of now the specs do look much satisfying. Turing will be shipping its flagship phone on August 10th this year. The expected price for unlocked 64GB variant is around $700 to $750 (about £465 to £500 and AU$900 to AU$967) and for the 128 GB variant is $870 (£580 and AU$1,120). The price for its low cost 16GB variant has not been declared as of now. For now, Turing smartphone with the Liquid Morphium does seem to be very interesting with its outer and inner features!!
